Lead, Electric Mobility & Renewable Energy Supply Chains

Siddharth Goel is a Lead at the International Institute for Sustainable Development, where his work focuses on addressing policy barriers and accelerating the deployment of renewable energy and electric vehicles in emerging economies. Siddharth leads research projects and practical engagements supporting the development of renewable energy and critical mineral and battery value chains in emerging economies through engagement with policy-makers, industry bodies, and financial institutions. His work also addresses the barriers state-owned enterprises face in diversifying toward renewable energy business models.

In his time at IISD, Siddharth has managed projects for GIZ and prominent international philanthropic organizations and has also led research consortiums working on the energy transition. He has engaged at high-level national and international forums, such as the Asian Clean Energy Forum Summit, G20, UNFCCC Conference of the Parties, Clean Energy Ministerial, and the International Round Table on Material Criticality.

Siddharth has previously consulted with Foreign Policy Analytics and Barclays Investment Bank in the United States. He holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Columbia University, with a specialization in global energy management and policy.
